Teaching

I have really missed teaching seminary over the last four months--I wouldn't change staying home with Grant for the world, don't get me wrong, I just haven't had many chances to teach since December. My calling in the Relief Society presidency gives me the opportunity to teach every third Fast Sunday, but it just doesn't seem to come around often enough. So I've looked into other options.

I finally got all my paperwork filled out to teach a Book of Mormon class at the Orem Institute this fall. It is Tuesday evenings, and the supervisor told me I may have upwards of 80 students (I'm used to an average of 32 per seminary class, so this is quite a change). I am super excited! Like any other skill I know that if I don't use it, I will lose it, and I've worked too hard to just let it go! I love teaching the gospel and I'm excited to see how it is to teach college students. This summer I am also going to attend some EFY classes at BYU because I might apply to teach next year (believe it or not, I am somewhat fond of teenagers and miss being around them) and the guy in charge seemed really positive about it all. I am so thankful that the Lord is opening doors for me to be able to still teach a little!
