I know I'm not alone when I say that the last ten weeks of every year fly by. It's such a wonderful time, and it's over in a flash! I've committed to keeping up on my scrapbook pages as they come through the holiday season so I'm not bombarded with them in January. Jake can attest to how I can't function when I feel overwhelmed. Stress is fine, but being overwhelmed immobilizes me. One example is our garden. I was so gung-ho at first, but as soon as the cucumbers took over the whole thing and the tomato plants grew too big for me to walk between them anymore, well, I sort of gave up. I tried, but it felt suffocating to try to get anything done when I couldn't get to eighty percent of our produce. I really am trying to get better, and the best way is to nip it in the bud. Now I just need to follow through...

This is Jake at work in Salt Lake. This internship has been a wonderful blessing for him and our family! He says he would love to work there for the rest of his life, but grad school calls. Maybe one day the Church Magazines will cross our path again (if Jake has any say, it will!).

I like all of your pics! The ones of Grant in his stroller made me think about yesterday when we looked down and his little hat was completely covering his eyes and he was just hanging out like that. I'm still chuckling over it. That and his helmet on the bike ride.
Oh, and thanks for the comment on my writing blog. I do indeed feel honored to be added to your sidebar of blog buddies.
Hey I was thinking that maybe the next time you are coming to Arbon we could try to get some of the other Arbon bunch around our age to come too and we could do lunch at the church or something. Let me know what you think my e-mail is jtarbet81@yahoo.com
