Wrapping up 2010--Hooray!

It was early in December, and these lost little pygmy goats decided to have a snack on our lawn. Grant was enthralled! Such unexpected things happen here...
Two of my piano students, who are sisters. They were the whole Christmas recital, and they worked for months on very difficult songs, and were a bit nervous, but they did really well. The whole thing was over in ten minutes--perfect! :)

Our tires were too bad to get us up the mountain to my parents' house in Idaho, so we had lots of help pushing. Oh, and my Dad had to ride on the front of the car for a few miles so our front tires had traction.

We spent New Year's Eve and Day in Arbon with my family. We had pizza, treats, and played games until midnight. We were glad to have my brother, Britton, feeling well enough to be able to stay up with us (he's been undergoing chemo). At midnight all the adults drank sparkling cider. I decided to try a new tradition. We each drew someone else's name and had to share (1) one memory of them from the last year and (2) one thing we hoped for them for the coming year. I think it was very nice and I think I'll try to make that an annual tradition wherever I am in the future.
