We had a picture-perfect weekend, against all odds that tried to ruin things. My parents and brother, Logan, stayed with us on Friday night because early Saturday we all headed to the temple. When I say "we," I mean
all of us. This was the first time my whole family has been together in the temple, Logan included. My favorite part is the Celestial room; as each person trickled in, things just felt more complete. I'm so thankful for eternal families! Since I'm by far the shorty of the family, everyone thought it would be so clever to hunch down and let me stand at the back of the line, which Britton says only made me look shorter.

Our cousin, Amy, took family photos for us, since our family will be spread across the world again with Logan on a mission in Mexico and Alisha doing an internship in Ecuador. I'm excited to see how they turn out.
Britton, Amber, their kids, Derek, Jake, Grant, and I went to the Bean Museum on BYU campus. Here are a few shots Britton took for us. The first one is Jake holding a bat--but look at that elephant foot in the background. Pretty sweet, eh?

I wasn't tall enough to have the hippo eating my head, so I had Jake pose for that, too.

My favorite part was the museum's new featured exhibit: the African elephant. I've seen Indian elephants my whole life and therefore thought that cartoons with gigantic elephants were just exaggerations. Until I saw this one. It looks like an olifant!

Unfortunately, Grant was asleep the whole time until the very end. I sure love him as a baby, but it will be exciting to take him when he is a little more enthusiastic about it.
I wish everyone could have families as great as mine and Jake's!

Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! I was just thinking about how cool the Bean Museum is. It's like a zoo, only everything's dead. Maybe if you take Grant to a real, live zoo he'll be more lively about it too. Just a thought...;)
Yes, let's DO get together! We miss you guys!
I always love hearing about WHOLE families being able to go to the temple together!! It always makes my heart cheer! How neat!
That is so neat for your family! Looks like our family needs to do something fun so you have something to blog about that includes our family!
