Yesterday I was discussing baby teeth with my mother-in-law, Nyla. I've thought Grant was teething for a while now; his doctor, however, never seems to agree. Grant is an easy-going baby but lately he's been crankier than usual (when I tell people that, they usually laugh at me because he's still calmer than many babies who aren't teething).
Since Nyla knows what to look for more than I do, I had her examine Grant's gums. Lo and behold, there is not only a front tooth that is about to come in, there is one tiny part of his bottom left tooth that has already broken through! A while later, she gave him an apricot to chew on, and his little tooth was peeling off the skin. Once he started tasting the juice, he went crazy! It was funny until he went for the pit....
I can't believe my baby is growing up! He's not an infant anymore, that's for sure.

You missed the cutting of his first tooth?! How lucky are YOU!?! We've had a couple of close calls, and I'm nervous for the real thing since those close calls have been pretty hysterical. :S Eek. I hope it just happens without us even knowing like it did for you. Congrats Grant!
